BEAUTY AND FASHION/ 2ND PRINCESS OF MISS BLANTYRE
MEET THE BEAUTY OF BLANTYRE CITY
Tryness Sikoti the 2nd princess of Miss Blantyre after the finals at Mount Soche.
Blantyre had a
big night last Saturday on the 14th October when it crowned its beauty queen “The Miss Blantyre” at
Sunbird Mount Soche.KisnapicMaga had
a chance to talk to a very beautiful lady who scooped the second place from the
actual miss Blantyre, meet The 2nd
Princess of Miss Blantyre”.
Born Tryness
Sikoti from the family of 4, the young lady is indeed Blantyre’s beauty. Very passionate, ambitious and confident. At the age of 22, Tryness is a final year
student at Beehive doing a diploma in
Designing & Tailoring.
“I choose this
course deliberately because I am so much into fashion. There is nothing I love
than creating clothes that will make people look good” explained the highly
slanged princess.
According to
her, just like any other competition, The Miss Blantyre contest was equally not
as easy as one might think. It needs a lot of hard work, passion, and spiritual
strength since the devil is always by your side trying to suppress your dreams.
“When people see models they think its an easy thing but it is not, it needs hard work. I did not become the 2nd princess because the judges loved me, I would practice everyday and pray to God to atleast exist in the top 5, and to my surprise, out of 15 girls he double blessed me with two awards; Queen of Digital and 2nd Princess” She confessed joyfully.
The pretty
smiling Princess expressed her wish to work hand in hand with the Miss Blantyre
Taonga Tabbie Gondwe in whatever project she may go for, be it visiting
Orphanages, Schools or career talk with young girls. She also expressed her
wish to make clothes for girls who cant afford to buy school uniforms using her Designing & Tailoring skills through her not yet launched cloth brand.
“I am planning
to launch my cloth brand named “Kutchena
Wear” During the runway I wore some of my designs like on the professional
category plus the dinner dress, I made them myself and I am planning to become
Miss Blantyre Designer”
"All in all, it was really a great experience being part of Miss Blantyre this year. I made new friends, I got to meet different characters, we all had one thing in common and that is to unlock girls potential, but at the end of the day it was a competition and I tried hard to keep the game strong and be fun at the same time. I would like to thank my family and friends for being there for me throughout the competition. I don't think I would have done it without them..... I wish I could mention you all but its a list of names, I see you all. Actually, I didn't expect to become the 2nd Princess because it was a very tough competition but all I had to do was to be me. I was confidence during the runway and all I had to do was to smile and yes I have a pretty smile. My advice to all those young girls who are willing to be part of Miss Blantyre 2018 is that you should never give up on your dreams no matter what, pray until something happens and remember to be confident with yourself, be you, and don't let anyone bring you down. YOLO!!(You Only Live Once)" She concluded.
