If you wanna trend fast in Mdubz, dissing the top dawg is considered the easiest way. Even though goons blow up with a diss record, it takes one’s skill and lyricism to hook fans. In the 2000’s we witnessed the uprising of rappers like Jolly Bro better known as J.B, Fredokiss as well as Jaba Joe after making several diss records for the Nyau king Tay grin. Since then, J.B & Fredokiss become house hold names. The same route was taken by Genni Black who dissed L city’s heavyweight Third Eye, and Avokado who dissed Martse. Both ventured into the hall of fame with their diss records.

If you are scared of dissing a fellow rapper, why don’t you diss someone like; a minister, or a parliament speaker? David Kalilani, a renowned hiphop gospel who calls himself Nyambuti rather than a rapper had to diss Prophet Bushiri, claiming that he is fake. This is regarded as one of the greatest diss records of all time. It really got the Nyambuti guy trending.

Tsar Leo, a friend to Charisma had to follow the Madness rapper style in a different way. Instead of a toilet photo, the robotic R n B singer posed half naked in an artwork for his latest Ep “Blessings heal” The funny thing was that he the artwork was contrary to the EP’s title but still it was a trend setter.

 

5.     Dissing a whole city

L city which is Mdubz capital is always a victim of diss. Rapper Hypa once become the talk of town after receiving diss tracks from Lcity rappers such as K2BBlock, Big Tar as well as Rayfen in response to his bars in Trapsquad’s hit song “So what?” Hypa claimed to be the king of BTown and Lcity, and he further bragged that he is better than most LL dudes. The same pulled Born Criss up after dissing Lcity together with all its super rappers.

The ex-member of the clique Trapsquad is known for crazy funny lyrics until he went far by releasing “Ndizakupanga rape” which had an explicit content of all the sorts of things Chavura would do to a girl who rejects him. The concept was contrary to governments campaign against gender based violence hence it ended him in the state court of law.
