MORE APPLAUSE, CRITICS STILL: 2018 UMP AWARDS NOMINATIONS

The 2018 Urban Music People awards nominations received a more positive feedback from the social media community comparing to the last year’s complicated listing. 2017 UMP Faces extreme critique

This year’s nomination list seems more fair with the presence of a lot of new names and the appearance of many nominees whom the music fans anticipated.

According to tweets and Facebook posts, fans are much impressed with the category of Best new artist, Best Album of the year and Best video of the year. After all, most categories are applauded for their fabulous listing.

Even though it is so, critiques have enlightened the categories which have poor lists of nominees that people did not expect, regard unfit and consider very much unrealistic for such nominations.

Such categories are the likes of Best producer of the year. The category has BFB, DJ Sley, Henwood, Gaffar and Janta. According to MDubz fans, names like Tricky beats, J Mass (Of Red-disk)  & Salem were supposed to be on the list. The worst thing is, most of the names on the list did not put in much work this year to deserve the nomination, some were not even in the country this year hence their work wherever they were barely counts.

The hot debate in the streets is whether Lucius Banda does urban music to deserve the Life time achiever award or maybe that category is exception.
