ARTISTS WHO FALLED FROM MDUBZ HALL OF FAME

Artist came and go, but the game is still here. Waiting for the up-coming while witnessing the down-going. The following is a list of artists who failed to secure a permanent place in the Mdubz hall of fame.

1.     AYCEE JAMES

The “China love” hit maker was quite an awesome artist who deserved to be in the game, unfortunately, her fame was more china than the love she was talking about in her hit single. Despite getting an international recognition, she went silent after getting married. Maybe the husband couldn’t cope up with a celebrity wife.

2.     TRIX

According to Barry uno, Lcity rapper Trix is the most highly underrated rapper in Mdubz. The highly slanged rapper Trix joined forces with D.O.Dub to create what they called “Militainment.” Despite all the efforts Militainment showed, Trix is only known for Gwamba’s hit single “Umaishosha” which he was featured in.

3.     YOUNG LOVE

His stage name itself foretold his short life span in the game. Ventured in the Mdubz hall of fame with his hit single "Sendela" which featured his hommie Renegade who was already in the H.O.F that time. As expected Mdubz witnessed his downfall, no wonder, such nickname can’t be allowed in the H.O.F. Lately, the singer tried to make a comeback which proved nothing but shame when he premiered his new song on Made on Monday which he featured the legendary dual “Daredevils” but did not even made it to the show’s top 10 chart.

4.     T-NAZ

Here is another one hit wonder. T-naz shook the waves like no one and his track nearly qualified to be song of the year 2016. The genius behind the house hit track “Malebo” produced by Step-up-records conquered many fans for T-naz. Unfortunately, it was koyamba ndikomaliza (beginning and the end) of his precious career. This might be so since the artist is failing to make another hit in 2017 that surpass his master piece Malebo. Maybe he needs time.

5.     YESAYA

Better known as a producer rather than a rapper, Yesaya made a little name in the 2000’s when he came from nowhere and featured the likes of Theo Thomson and Tay grin who are high class artists hence people thought he was one of them. Unfortunately, his lyricism didn’t convince Mdubz but his superb production on Theo Thomson’s tracks made him known as a producer even though his producer fame is equally of low magnitude.

6.     ISSU

Just like Yesaya, Blantyre based rapper Issu had a weakness when it comes to lyrics. He only dropped a dope verse in his massive collaboration with the Daredevils titled “Gifted Swag” and a hit track “Glasses up” and he was gone. People only talked of him on a list of handsome rappers in Mdubz and his feud with the Daredevils made him disappear faster than he came.

7.     DOUBLE G SQUAD

Back in 2000’s there was a Daredevils era in Mdubz. If you do a collab with GD or Marcus of the Daredevils, you were determined to be famous. It worked for some and did not for others like Double G Squad who only made a hit for the collab with Daredevils and off they go. If you don’t even remember them, these are the guys in that track which goes like “ Izizi timatha koma adha awawa… adha awawa… ndi number one………….”

8.     BUTTERFLY

The guy made twin hits which seemed to be part 2 of the other. He is a perfect singer, ideal for love, especially heartbreak songs since he is capable of that cry-like RnB which came with the likes of NesNes, Shido man & Saint, but I guess Mdubz had enough of that.

9.     EMOTIONS

You can’t forget this guy, his voice was full of that primitive auto-tune, he did the hook of the Lcity group collab “Khala tcheru” but he is better known for a wonderful hit track “Moving with the time” which he kept on remixing until he got married and quit music. Atleast Lcity has Tsar leo now.

10.  SHOZZIE

The ghetto master falled withought a warning or leaving a trace. Shozzie rose in the same period with the likes of Mafo and they all gained a lot of fans especially in the ghetto. Despite all the fans shozzie had he disappeared Ngati chitsilu leaving his fans mouth agape. Up-to-date, people don’t know where the ghetto master went with his talent.

11.  TWIZZA

The guy was rumored to be signed by the daredevils. He came in the game together with Young D and he was determined to survive in the game. He made a couple of hits like “Ma skin jeans.” But as the word says abwino sakhalitsa, The rapper followed the usual routine of becoming a born again christian only that he disappeared like snow when sunshine comes despite realizing a few gospel singles and an album.

12.  KENNY ONE (DJ Africa) & BOY MAGIC (Ngwazi)

Theo Thomson had to bring these kids in the game so when he let them, so did the game. Boy magic was appreciated for his venomous rap skills despite having looks that didn’t much his English and Kanny one was appreciated for his dance beats and more for his looks in contrast to the later. After Theo let them, the kids changed names and disappeared as if they’re cash gate suspects and they are hiding their identity.
